On June 22, 2026, the exhibition \u00abFrom Brest to the Urals\u00bb<\/strong> opened at the \u00abRussia \u2013 My History\u00bb<\/strong> historical park in Perm, Russian Federation. It tells the story of the heroes of the front and rear during the first days of the Great Patriotic War<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This project is a collaboration between the \u00abRussia \u2013 My History\u00bb historical park in Perm, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, and the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War<\/strong> (Victory Museum, Moscow).<\/p>\n

The exhibition tells the story of heroism both at the front and in the rear during the first days of the war. On June 22, 1941, Nazi Germany, violating the non-aggression pact, began military action against the Soviet Union. The first to bear the brunt of the attack were border guards and advanced units of the Red Army, including soldiers of the 112th Rifle Division, formed in the Molotov region.<\/p>\n

The exhibition tells the story of the civilian population caught up in the occupation, of concentration camps and ghettos, as well as the formation of partisan detachments, which began to emerge in the Byelorussian SSR as early as June 26, 1941. At this time, residents of Perm (then Molotov) had also already begun lining up at military recruitment offices to go and defend their country.<\/p>\n

In his welcoming address to the first guests,Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus A.K.Demyanyuk<\/strong> explained that the exhibition features unique documents and photographs from Belarusian archives that will help visitors better understand how the war began and how it affected people’s lives.<\/p>\n
