On the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic Wa<\/strong>r and the Genocide of the Belarusian People, employees of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Audio Documents<\/strong> took part in a commemorative event held at the memorial to the victims of genocide in Dzerzhinsk. Here in October 1941, about two thousand civilians of the city of Dzerzhinsk were shot.<\/p>\n

The rally was attended by the district leadership, deputies, representatives of enterprises and organizations of the district, law enforcement agencies, clergy, and students. In memory of the burned villages of the Dzerzhin region – Lyubozhanka, Glukhoy Perkhurovo, Litavets, Sadkovshchina and Skirmantovo – an alley of birch trees was planted.<\/p>\n
