On June 11, 2026, staff from the Zonal State Archives in Slutsk<\/strong> held an \u00abHour of Courage\u00bb<\/strong> for students of the Slutsk State Agricultural Lyceum<\/strong> at the district library.<\/p>\n

Before the screening, archive director Irina Antonovna Borodina<\/strong> told the students about the first days of the Great Patriotic War and the heroic fortitude of Soviet soldiers who defended the Brest Fortress, which became a true symbol of resistance to the enemy, a symbol of the courage and fortitude of the Red Army and the Soviet people.<\/p>\n

In the Republic of Belarus, preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War is a deeply revered tradition. The Brest Hero Fortress is one of the main memorials carefully preserved by Belarusians, constantly reminding us of the events of the past war.<\/p>\n

The event concluded with a screening of the documentary film \u00abHero Fortress\u00bb<\/strong>, produced for the 85th anniversary of the defense of the Brest Fortress by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong> with the support of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\n
