On June 10, 2026, as part of \u00abArchives Week\u00bb<\/strong> at the Gomel Region State Archives<\/strong>, Anastasia Artemyeva<\/strong>, a young specialist and second-category archivist in the Department of Records Management, National Archival Fund Development, and Organizational Archives, delivered a lecture to second-year students of Francysk Skaryna Gomel State University<\/strong> on the topic of \u00abFormation of Term Papers and Theses\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the lecture, Anastasia Artemyeva explained the rules for preparing essays, term papers, and theses, as well as the requirements for their structure and formatting. In her presentation, Anastasia emphasized the importance of choosing the right research topic. The lecture also focused on the formatting of the text and headings, as well as the use of tables and illustrations. The lecture was accompanied by a virtual exhibition, \u00abPreparing Term Papers and Theses<\/strong>\u00bb, prepared by Anastasia Artemyeva.<\/p>\n

The event continued with a presentation by Victoria Rudenko<\/strong>, a young specialist and first-category archivist in the Document Records and Preservation Department. Victoria introduced the students to the department’s work and the rules for compiling an archival inventory, an archival directory containing a systematic list of archival holdings and collections, designed to account for and disclose their contents.<\/p>\n

Maia Vashchenko<\/strong>, a senior researcher in the Department of Information, Publication, and Use of Documents, spoke to the students about documents from the Great Patriotic War<\/strong> \u2014 the Acts of the Extraordinary State Commission for the Investigation of Crimes Committed by the Nazi Invaders. The students were introduced to the contents of local witness testimonies about Nazi crimes, as well as letters from Soviet citizens forcibly deported to slave labor in Germany.<\/p>\n

Finally, Victoria Rudenko led a tour of the archives.<\/p>\n
