The lesson was dedicated to International Archives Day, celebrated annually on June 9, and aimed at developing students&#8217; interest in the archivist profession.<\/p>\n<p>During the lesson, the students learned about the archivist profession and the tasks and functions of archives. <strong>Archivists are the guardians of history<\/strong>, as archives store all original documents. Therefore, this profession is not only very interesting but has always been important and necessary. Higher education institutions, colleges, and specialized courses are available to train as archivists in Belarus.<\/p>\n<p>At the archive repository, leading archivist <strong>Marina Bortnovskaya<\/strong> introduced schoolchildren to the preservation processes of documents of historical, cultural, scientific, or administrative value.
