The conference, dedicated to <strong>the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War and the heroic defense of Mogilev in July 1941, was held<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Historians from Bryansk, Kursk, Minsk, and Moscow participated in the conference online.<\/p>\n<p>A leading archivist from the Department of Scientific Use of Documents and Information at <strong>the State Archives of the Mogilev Region<\/strong> presented a paper on <strong>\u00abDeputies of the Mogilev Region and the Great Patriotic War\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During the engaging dialogue, issues of source studies and historiography of the Great Patriotic War, the strategic significance of the heroic defense of Mogilev in July 1941, and preserving the memory of the Soviet people&#8217;s heroism during the war were discussed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\"  width=\"100%\" cellpadding=\"5\" cellspacing=\"0\" class=\"gen_table\">\n<tr align='center'>\n<td align='center'><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1-208.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" id=\"media-1084195\" class=\"wp-image-1084195 alignnone size-full\" width=\"70%\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align='center'>1.
