On May 13, 2026, the three-day youth forum \u00abNo Statute of Limitations: Unconquered\u00bb<\/strong> opened at Gomel Secondary School No.74<\/strong>, bringing together young participants from Russia and Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The media marathon is being held by the Interregional Public Organization \u00abBoomerang Children’s Media Association\u00bb<\/strong> with the support of the National Center for Historical Memory under the President of Russia<\/strong> and the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of Belarus<\/strong>. Project partners include the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, and the State Archives of the Gomel Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From the Belarusian side, the following addressed the media marathon participants with welcoming remarks: Oleg Voinov, Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus; Artem Kamalyev, Head of the Main Justice Department of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee; and His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The project’s goal is to combat the falsification of historical facts about the Great Patriotic War and the genocide of the Soviet people. The media marathon’s agenda includes training young filmmakers in the fundamentals of directing and editing for the creation of short historical and documentary media works about the genocide of the Soviet people, based on archival documents. The three-day educational process will be interactive and will include theory and practice in creating works on the complex subject of genocide. Based on the completed work, a panel of experts will select the best works by the young filmmakers. The finalists will be invited to Orlyonok in the Krasnodar Region of the Russian Federation, where a special session, \u00abUnconquered\u00bb, will be held in September, dedicated to history and cinema.<\/p>\n

Professional screenwriters, directors, actors, and archivists from Russia attended the forum, including Oleg Golub, actor and director of theater and film<\/strong>; Rimma Moiseyeva, Advisor to the Director of the Analytical Department of the State Film Fund of the Russian Federation and Honorary Archivist of Russia<\/strong>; Natalya Vasilyeva, Director of the Children’s Media Association \u00abBoomerang\u00bb, a member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia<\/strong>; and other participants.<\/p>\n
