On May 7, 2026, as part of the \u00abArchives for School\u00bb<\/strong> project, A.N.Boreiko, a first-category archivist at the Orsha Zonal State Archives<\/strong>, held a thematic lesson \u00abAbout the Soldiers of the Victory Spring\u00bb<\/strong> for students in grades 5-8 at the Orsha Secondary School No.2 named after B.L.Khigrin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During this event, students were introduced to archival documents and photographs dedicated to the memorable dates and historical events of the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The thematic lesson concluded with a screening of the documentary \u00abHero Fortress\u00bb<\/strong>, produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The film is based on archival footage depicting historical events, the courage, and resilience of the Red Army soldiers, the heroic liberators of the Brest Fortress, who sacrificed their lives, fighting to the last drop of blood, against the Nazi invaders.<\/p>\n

The heroes of the 393rd Separate Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion, namely Pyotr Gavrilov, Rodion Semenyuk, and others, led the defense. Although they received no awards or recognition, they remain legends of the fortress. But they will remain forever in the memories and hearts of the Soviet, and now Belarusian, people.<\/p>\n
