{"id":1023687,"date":"2026-04-17T13:43:16","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T10:43:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/?p=1023687"},"modified":"2026-04-17T13:43:16","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T10:43:16","slug":"a-unified-information-day-on-chernobyl-from-recovery-to-sustainable-development-at-the-zonal-state-archives-in-lida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/news\/1023687","title":{"rendered":"A Unified Information Day on \u00abChernobyl: From Recovery to Sustainable Development\u00bb at the Zonal State Archives in Lida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On April 16, 2026, <strong>the Zonal State Archives in Lida<\/strong> held a Unified Information Day on <strong>\u00abChernobyl: From Recovery to Sustainable Development\u00bb<\/strong>. <strong>Archive Director S.G.Svirko<\/strong> reminded archivists of how the country over the past 40 years has dealt with the consequences of the Chernobyl accident, traversing the difficult path from a national environmental disaster to the recovery and restoration of life in the territories affected by the accident; and of the heroism of all those involved in the cleanup of this terrible tragedy.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the Unified Information Day, the archive hosted a screening of <strong>the film \u00abChernobyl: Chronicles of a Tragedy\u00bb<\/strong>, produced by <strong>the BSAKFFD<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On Chernobyl Tragedy Day, <strong>O.V.Ivanch, Head of the Document Preservation and Scientific Archives Department<\/strong>, presented <strong>a virtual exhibition, \u00abChernobyl \u2013 a Tragedy of the 20th Century\u00bb<\/strong>. Oksana Viktorovna&#8217;s father, <strong>Viktor Yakovlevich Shein<\/strong>, participated in the cleanup of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
