The Vitebsk Region State Archives<\/strong> held the \u00abGlory to Heroes\u00bb Memorial Day event<\/strong> for the Vitebsk City Branch of the BRSM<\/strong> as part of the \u00abVolgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations\u00bb project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the lobby, BRSM members enjoyed exhibition stands of archival documents, \u00abThe Memory of Heroes Is Eternal\u00bb (State Government Institution of the Volgograd Region \u00abState Archives of the Volgograd Region\u00bb) and \u00abIn the Summer of 1944\u00bb (State Archives of the Vitebsk Region)<\/strong>; and a banner exhibition of documents, \u00abCraft after Crater, This Land Is Hollowed and Twisted…\u00bb (State Archives of the Vitebsk Region)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A lecture<\/strong> was also held about Colonel General I.I.Lyudnikov, defender of Stalingrad and liberator of Vitebsk, and the perpetuation of his memory in Vitebsk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The film \u00abLiberation of Vitebsk\u00bb from the BGAKFFD<\/strong> collection was shown.<\/p>\n

As part of the event, archive staff conducted four quests<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The winners received gifts from the archive.<\/strong><\/p>\n
