On April 9, 2026, a workshop entitled \u00abGenocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War: A Historical and Legal Assessment\u00bb<\/strong> was held at the Scientific and Practical Center for Strengthening Law and Order of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as the SPC).<\/p>\n

Welcoming remarks were addressed to the participants by: Deputy Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as NARB), PhD in History, S.V.Kulinok<\/strong>; Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus<\/strong>, PhD in History, Associate Professor, V.L.Lakiza<\/strong>; and Director of the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus<\/strong>, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, D.V.Mukha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the seminar, an agreement was signed between the Scientific and Practical Center and a temporary research team consisting of legal scholars, historians, and archivists to conduct research on the topic \u00abThe Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War: A Historical and Legal Assessment\u00bb. Deputy Director of the NARB S.V.Kulinok was appointed head of the Scientific and Practical Center<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For his personal contribution to the study of genocide, S.V.Kulinok<\/strong> was also awarded the Scientific and Practical Center’s badge of honor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The seminar concluded with a closed preview of the documentary film \u00abHero Fortress\u00bb<\/strong>, prepared by archivists from the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong>. Forum participants were among the first in the country to view the film.<\/p>\n
