At the initiative of the Department of Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>, as part of its work with representatives of the military-diplomatic corps accredited in the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>, a delegation from the Minsk Association of Military Attach\u00e9s<\/strong> visited the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (hereinafter NARB).<\/p>\n

NARB Director A.K.Demyanyuk<\/strong> addressed the delegation with a welcoming address. He briefly described the archive’s main areas of work and objectives.<\/p>\n

NARB Deputy Director, PhD in History S.V.Kulinok<\/strong>, presented a report \u00abOn the Genocide of the Belarusian People During the Great Patriotic War\u00bb<\/strong>, in which he described, using archival documents, the Nazi policy of exterminating Belarusian civilians.<\/p>\n

The delegation of military attach\u00e9s was also shown the documentary film \u00abHero Fortress\u00bb<\/strong>, produced by staff of the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Archive<\/strong> in Dzerzhinsk. A banner exhibition, \u00abThe Partisan Republic\u00bb, was also presented to the guests. At the conclusion of the visit, the military attach\u00e9s were shown documents on the history of the genocide and partisan movement in Belarus. Of particular interest were materials on the participation of representatives from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, China, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Turkey in the national struggle. Representatives of these countries were able to view authentic documents on the combat activities of their fellow countrymen.<\/p>\n

As a commemorative gift, NARB Director A.K.Demyanyuk presented the delegation member with collections of documents prepared by NARB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
