On March 19, 2026, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> presented a documentary exhibition dedicated to the 101st anniversary of its founding at the Central Officers’ Club of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The exhibition, organized by the archive, features copies of archival documents dedicated to the history of the Red Army Club<\/strong>: the Minutes of the Council of People’s Commissars of the BSSR meeting on raising funds for the establishment of the Red Army Club in Minsk; the Resolution of the Council of People’s Commissars of the BSSR on the progress of the construction of the Red Army Club; the Minutes of the Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Belarus on the opening of the Red Army Club; the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the BSSR on awarding the District Officers’ Club with the Honorary Diploma of the Supreme Soviet of the Byelorussian SSR, and others.<\/p>\n

Lieutenant Colonel D.S.Bortnitsky, Head of the Central Officers’ Club of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>, addressed the event participants with a welcoming speech. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of intergenerational continuity and unwavering loyalty to military duty. Dmitry Sergeyevich emphasized that today, more than ever, preserving historical memory, which is the foundation for nurturing true patriots and defenders of the Fatherland, is crucial.<\/p>\n

M.A.Starostenko, Head of the Department of the National Archives<\/strong>, added a profound historical context to the meeting. In her speech, she revealed little-known chapters in the history of the Central Officers’ Club building\u2014an architectural monument that has remained a symbol of military culture for decades. A key milestone for the future of the Officers’ Club museum was the donation of copies of unique archival documents to the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, which reveal key stages in the development of the Central Officers’ Club and the life of the Minsk garrison throughout various historical periods.<\/p>\n

The documents from the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus aroused genuine interest and attention among the numerous guests who participated in the ceremonial celebration of the founding of the Central Officers’ Club of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\n
