The Department of Scientific and Technical Document Processing of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as NARB) plans to hold a series of training sessions<\/strong> in 2026 aimed at improving the professionalism, motivation, and efficiency of its employees, as well as team building, sharing experiences, and reducing staff turnover.<\/p>\n

On March 18, 2026, M.V.Zhuk, Head of the Planning and Methodological Work Sector of the Department of Scientific and Technical Document Processing of the NARB<\/strong>, conducted training session No.4, \u00abPreparing a Case Inventory Title Page\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Maria Vladimirovna discussed the preparation of title pages for file inventories in accordance with the Rules for the Operation of Archives of State Bodies and Other Organizations, approved by Resolution No.143 of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus dated May 24, 2012. She provided examples of title pages, discussed the difficulties that may arise when determining the name of a collection, and highlighted the technical design of title pages.<\/p>\n

As part of the training session, a methodological meeting was held with O.Yu.Yurkevich, Head of the Information Retrieval Systems Department at the National Archives of Belarus<\/strong>. Olga Yuryevna focused on determining the dates of creation and liquidation of an organization, the controversial issues that arise in determining them, and the use of official abbreviated names of organizations. She also discussed the possibilities of using the \u00abAccounting\u00bb module of the AIS \u00abArchive\u00bb and the NAF’s data management system. A.N.Ermashkevich, Head of the Department for Document Valuation and Case Descriptions for Government Organizations<\/strong>, provided examples of the most complex title pages and explained to staff how to search for information to prepare them.<\/p>\n

The staff of the Scientific and Technical Document Processing Department express their gratitude to M.V.Zhuk and O.Yu.Yurkevich for the high level of organization of the lesson, the presentation of information, and their assistance in resolving complex issues that arose during the course.<\/strong><\/p>\n
