In 2026, based on a cooperation agreement between the State Archives of the Vitebsk and Volgograd Regions<\/strong>, the project \u00abVolgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations\u00bb<\/strong> will be implemented.<\/p>\n

The project will include a series of educational lectures, meetings, and exhibitions about the heroic defense of Stalingrad and the liberation of Vitebsk, as well as monumental sculptures in both cities that commemorate the Soviet soldiers, underground fighters, partisans, and civilians who died during the Great Patriotic War.<\/p>\n

The project will culminate in a student art competition dedicated to the heroic defense of Stalingrad and the liberation of Vitebsk.<\/p>\n

On February 23, 2026, the first event of the project was held at the Vitebsk Children’s Art School No.3 \u00abMaladik\u00bb<\/strong> \u2013 a lecture on the liberation of Vitebsk from the Nazi invaders, with a screening of the film \u00abLiberation of Vitebsk\u00bb<\/strong>, produced by the BSAKFFD<\/strong>. During the lecture, students learned about the history of the construction of Victory Square in Vitebsk.<\/p>\n
