It was timed to coincide with <strong>the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide<\/strong>. The event addressed the topic of preserving historical memory and preventing the recurrence of such tragedies. Presentations were given by <strong>P.I.Volynets, Deputy Chairman of the Brest District Executive Committee, and M.E.Tarasyuk, Deputy Prosecutor of the Brest District<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Students from secondary schools in <strong>the town of Domachevo and the villages of Znamenka, Tomashovka, and Medno<\/strong> participated in the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Brest Region State Archives<\/strong> provided a documentary exhibition,<strong> \u00abThere Was a War&#8230; There Was a Victory!\u00bb<\/strong>, for the event.
