On November 6, in the lead-up to October Revolution Day<\/strong>, a thematic meeting of the staff<\/strong> at the Central Laboratory for Document Preservation of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> was held. Deputy Director of the Laboratory, S.I.Mezga<\/strong>, presented a report on the significance of this historical event.<\/p>\n

In his speech, he emphasized that the October Revolution of 1917 was not simply a change of power, but a profound transformation, a response to a systemic crisis. It laid the foundations for the national self-determination of the Belarusian people and the creation of Belarusian statehood on the Soviet platform.<\/p>\n

S.I.Mezga emphasized that this date has special significance for Belarus, as the roots of our national statehood trace back to the events of that time. Maintaining this holiday in the national calendar is a tribute to history and the generations whose destinies were inextricably linked with it. The Deputy Director also noted the importance of preserving historical memory and objectively assessing the past for understanding the country’s modern achievements.<\/p>\n
