On November 4, a seminar<\/strong> was held at the State Archives of the Brest Region<\/strong> for the territorial archives of the city of Brest, Brest, Zhabinka, Kamenets, and Malorita districts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Staff from the State Archives of the Brest Region also participated in the seminar<\/p>\n

The seminar was opened by Natalia Mikhailovna Kralko, Head of the Department of Archival Institutions, Notaries, and Civil Registry Offices of the Main Justice Department of the Brest Regional Executive Committee<\/strong>. In her speech, she addressed issues related to working with electronic documents and organizing their archival storage.<\/p>\n

The seminar participants were addressed by department heads from the State Archives of the Brest Region, who covered issues related to ensuring the preservation of archival documents and monitoring the availability and status of files; conducting expert evaluations of their value and scientific and technical processing; recording archival documents and creating a scientific reference system for them; and using archival documents.<\/p>\n

Seminar participants were given a guided tour of the archive building at 15 V.Khoruzhey Street, including a visit to the archive storage facility and the laboratory for repair and restoration of archival documents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event included a presentation of a banner exhibition of archival documents, \u00abThere Was War… There Was Victory!\u00bb<\/strong>, prepared by the State Archives of the Brest Region, and a screening of the documentary film \u00abOn the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Brest from Nazi Invaders\u00bb<\/strong>, prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
