{"id":1021640,"date":"2025-10-17T15:30:40","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T12:30:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/?p=1021640"},"modified":"2025-10-17T15:30:40","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T12:30:40","slug":"patriotic-event-at-the-state-archives-of-public-associations-of-the-gomel-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/news\/1021640","title":{"rendered":"Patriotic Event at the State Archives of Public Associations of the Gomel Region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On October 17, 2025, as part of the <strong>\u00abArchives for School\u00bb<\/strong> campaign, a patriotic event was held at <strong>the State Archives of Public Associations of the Gomel Region<\/strong> for students of <strong>the Gomel State Culinary College<\/strong>, dedicated to the liberation of the Loyev region from Nazi invaders.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, students were introduced to archival documents on the genocide of civilians in the Gomel Region, the memoirs of World War II veterans, and the personal files of partisans who took part in the military operation to liberate the Loyev region.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the meeting, archivists organized a screening of the documentary <strong>\u00abLiberation\u00bb<\/strong>, produced by <strong>the Belarusian State Archives of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong>, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders. Finally, the students were given a tour of the archives, learning about the archive&#8217;s main activities, the composition, and contents of its collections.
