The publication was prepared as part of the <strong>\u00abHistory for Schoolchildren\u00bb<\/strong> series by <strong>the National Historical Archives of Belarus<\/strong> with the support of <strong>the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The book is a popular science study devoted to the formation and development of photography in modern-day Belarus in the pre-revolutionary period. Using archival materials, it traces the evolution of photography from its earliest experiments to its widespread adoption as a mass phenomenon.
