Among his documents, notable are the letters and postcards Bonadyk sent from the front to his young daughter, Lida. These letters, written in verse, express the author&#8217;s love for his family and, as Soviet troops advanced on Germany, they increasingly filled him with faith in a swift victory over fascism and the soldier&#8217;s return home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>One of the letters (F.831. Op.1. D.5.
