This year, Archivist’s Day<\/strong> celebrations for employees of the Vitebsk Region State Archives<\/strong> began in late September, when Natalia Drozdova, a correspondent for the Vitbichi newspaper<\/strong>, visited the archive and interviewed the staff on the eve of the professional holiday. The article was published on the eve of October 6th, both online<\/strong><\/a> and in print.<\/p>\n

On October 3rd, the administration organized a tour of the Western Dvina River for archivists, including a lecture on the history of Vitebsk. The lecture was given by Svetlana Myasoedova, an employee of the Document Use and Publication Department and Honorary Archivist of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On October 6th, the Belarus 4 Vitebsk film crew<\/strong> visited the archives. On that day, the Vitebsk Herald newscast<\/strong> also aired a story about the State Archives<\/strong><\/a> (00:01:36 – Archivists celebrate their professional holiday today<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The bulk of the footage filmed by the Belarus 4 Vitebsk film crew<\/strong> was featured in the \u00abEvening Vitebsk\u00bb program<\/strong><\/a>, which aired on October 7th, dedicated to the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region. Archive Director Alexander Nikolaevich Korol and Deputy Director Tatyana Vladimirovna Buevich participated in the program.<\/p>\n
