On September 26, 2025, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> hosted the opening of a photo documentary exhibition dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Dmitrievich Vetrov\u2014a statesman and party figure, Prosecutor of the BSSR, Minister of Justice of the BSSR, Honored Lawyer of the BSSR, and participant in the Great Patriotic War<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The exhibition, prepared by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (hereinafter NARB), features photo documentary materials from the personal collection of I.D.Vetrov, as well as from the collections of partisan formations in the Polesie region, and party and government bodies. These include orders and certificates from the Military Councils of the Bryansk Front and the 3rd Shock Army, intelligence reports from the commanders of partisan detachments in the Polesie region, orders from the Prosecutor of the BSSR and the Minister of Justice of the BSSR, excerpts from the minutes of the Academic Council and an order from the V.I.Lenin Belarusian State University appointing I.D.Vetrov as an associate professor in the Department of Civil Law and Procedures of the Faculty of Law, correspondence with the families of former partisans and Komsomol activists, a Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the BSSR awarding I.D.Vetrov the honorary title of \u00abHonored Lawyer of the BSSR\u00bb, as well as photographs with participants in the Great Patriotic War.<\/p>\n

Employees of the central office of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus viewed the exhibition. Employees of the NARB’s Department of Personal Collections described the documents on display and answered questions from those in attendance.<\/p>\n
