On September 11, 2025, the premiere of the film dilogy \u00abOur Symbols\u00bb<\/strong> took place in the \u00abPioneer\u00bb cinema<\/strong> on the eve of National Unity Day<\/strong>. The films, shot by the National Film Studio \u00abBelarusfilm\u00bb<\/strong>, were presented by their creators – the director of the film studio \u00abLetopis\u00bb Vladimir Milosh<\/strong> and film director Evgeny Shlemenkov<\/strong>. Both films tell about the main state symbols of our country. Schoolchildren of the capital’s educational institutions were also invited to the premiere.<\/p>\n

The filming of the films took place in several locations – in the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, in Gymnasium No.33 in Minsk, in Secondary School No.1 in Senno.<\/p>\n

Head of the Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus M.A.Starostenko<\/strong> and leading researcher, Ph.D. V.G.Mazets<\/strong> acted as consultants for the film \u00abThe State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus\u00bb<\/strong> in developing the director’s script, and assisted in selecting archival documents related to the preparation and adoption of the State Emblem.<\/p>\n

\u00abThe State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus\u00bb<\/strong> is a documentary film with elements of feature film. The plot centers on a group of inquisitive schoolchildren who received an assignment at school and immersed themselves in a fascinating study to unravel the mysteries and learn the history of the Belarusian coat of arms. The children meet historians, archivists, and ordinary people, communicate with them, and learn about the origin of the elements of the coat of arms, their meaning, and evolution over time. Through the prism of children’s perception, the viewer will see how the coat of arms was created and changed, what symbols it carries, what secrets it keeps.<\/p>\n
