He is known not only as a sculptor, but also as a scientist. As a sign of respect, he presented the head of the art department of the museum Tatyana Litvinova with his own book about the architecture of Gomel. From the institution «State Archives of the Gomel Region» at the opening of the exhibition were Anastasia Artemyeva, the chairperson of the primary organization of the public organization «BRSM» of the institution and members of BRSM. The opening featured works by famous Belarusian artists such as Sergei Gumelevsky, Alexander Shappo, Mikhail Rogatko, Ivan Gubarevich and others.

Each of the artists speaks their own language of images and solutions. Some create abstract, symbolic works of glass and plastic, on the verge of sculpture and design, while others strive to say their word in traditional bronze and stone through familiar figurative plasticity or its transformation and contemporary authorial rethinking. At the same time, many works are imbued with deep experiences and are often allegorical.

The sculpture exhibition is a joint project of the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble Museum and the Belarusian Union of Artists. The exhibition convincingly shows that modern Belarusian sculpture lives and develops, and maintains respect for tradition.

1.
