The meeting was organized by the History Department of BSU and the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus in order to familiarize students studying in the specialties \u00abDocument Management\u00bb and \u00abArchival Science\u00bb with their future profession.<\/p>\n<p>A.E.Rybakov presented a report-presentation, thanks to which first-year students got an idea of the archival service of the Republic of Belarus, the tasks facing archival institutions, and the most significant projects being implemented. In his speech, he also focused on current scientific and methodological issues in the field of archival affairs and records management, the activities of BelNIIDAD aimed at solving them, and the close relationship between document scientists and archivists in achieving the goal of preserving the documentary historical and cultural heritage of the country.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the event, A.E.Rybakov, on behalf of the country&#8217;s archival service, presented <strong>the head of the source studies department, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor S.N.Khodin<\/strong> with the book \u00abSimeon Polotsky.
