On August 20, 2025, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (NARB) hosted the Summer School for Young Scientists<\/strong> from the CIS countries, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. Scientists, teachers and students from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan took part in the work.<\/p>\n

The Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov<\/strong> addressed the forum participants with a welcoming speech. He emphasized that \u00abtoday, historians and archivists shoulder to shoulder defend the historical truth and the memory of the heroic and tragic events of our history\u00bb. Oleg Leonidovich noted the close interaction of scientists and archivists in ensuring the humanitarian security of our republic, the work of archives on the use of documents for the needs of society and the state.<\/p>\n

Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus A.K.Demyanyuk<\/strong> expressed his gratitude to the management of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for fruitful cooperation, and also wished all participants of the event interesting reports and constructive discussions.<\/p>\n

The school’s audience was shown the film \u00abWe remember, we are proud ..\u00bb., prepared by archivists for the 80th anniversary of the Victory using artificial intelligence technology. On behalf of the archival industry of Belarus, Deputy Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, PhD in History S.V.Kulinok<\/strong> presented a scientific report \u00abFunds of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus on the history of the Great Patriotic War as a source for studying the genocide of the Belarusian people\u00bb.<\/p>\n

After the speakers’ speeches, the participants of the event were given a tour of the archives of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\n
