On June 25, 2025, on the day of the 120th anniversary of the People’s Poet of Belarus Pyotr Ustinovich Brovka<\/strong>, employees of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) attended the opening of the exhibition \u00abCartoons of Petrus Brovka\u00bb<\/strong> in the Literary Museum of Petrus Brovka, dedicated to the anniversary of the People’s Poet of Belarus.<\/p>\n

In the apartment-museum of Pyotr Ustinovich, caricatures of him are presented in such quantity for the first time. Humorous portraits of Brovka, painted by both famous and young artists (the earliest works date back to the 1930s), are not only artistic entertainment, but also a reflection of the attitude of contemporaries to the poet, living evidence of his significance in the culture of that time, as well as an indicator of a healthy atmosphere in the artistic environment. The anniversary exhibition was organized by the literary museum together with the magazine \u00abRodnaye Slova\u00bb (Rodnaye Slova), it is part of the project \u00abIn the anthology of the Belarusian caricature\u00bb (dozens of graphic images of Belarusian writers in this genre were published, including from the funds of the BGAMLI).<\/p>\n
