As part of the International Archives Week, the State Archives of the Brest Region<\/strong> held a number of events.<\/p>\n

Career guidance classes were held for two groups of 8th-grade students of the summer camp of the State Educational Institution \u00abSecondary School No.14 named after E.M. Fomin of Brest\u00bb<\/strong>, during which the schoolchildren were introduced to the work of the archive, the profession of an archivist. In conclusion, the students learned that they can get the specialty of a historian-archivist at the Belarusian State University, in the history department.<\/p>\n

For beginning archive workers, educational and methodological classes \u00abSchool of the Beginning Archivist\u00bb<\/strong> were organized, within the framework of which lectures and seminars were held on the history of the archive, on the main areas of activity, on the composition and content of documents stored in the archive. In addition, a meeting of novice archivists with the veteran of the archive, L.G. Romanovich<\/strong>, Honorary Archivist of Belarus, who worked in the archive from 1966 to 2018, took place, during which Lidiya Grigoryevna shared her memories of her archival life and poems of her own composition.<\/p>\n

On June 11, 2025, a ceremony of exchanging digital copies of the Brest regional newspaper \u00abZarya\u00bb between the State Archives of the Brest Region and the Brest Regional Library named after M. Gorky took place in a solemn atmosphere (the archive transferred digital copies of the newspaper for 1940-1941, 1944-1945 (which are not stored in the library) to the library, the library transferred digital copies of the newspaper for 1946-1980 to the archive).<\/p>\n
