From May 19 to 23, 2025, advanced training courses \u00abModern approaches to organizing archival work in the Republic of Belarus\u00bb<\/strong> were held. They were organized by the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> jointly with the Faculty of History of the Belarusian State University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The lectures were given by teachers of the Belarusian State University<\/strong>, highly qualified specialists of the republican archival institutions.<\/p>\n

The program of the courses had a relevant theme and covered the issues of the activities of state archives in the field of acquisition, preservation, state accounting, and use of archival documents. Particular emphasis was placed on covering the use of Internet technologies to expand access to archival documents, work with electronic documents, examination of the value of documents and acquisition of state archives, taking into account the amendments made to the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated November 25, 2011 \u00abOn Archival Affairs and Records Management\u00bb and updated approaches to the development of a new list of standard documents indicating storage periods.<\/p>\n

On May 23, 2025, a round table \u00abModern Challenges and Opportunities in Document Management and Archival Science\u00bb<\/strong> was held.<\/p>\n

It was attended by the Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management O.L. Voinov<\/strong>, the Head of the Department of Source Studies of the Faculty of History of the Belarusian State University<\/strong>, Doctor of Historical Sciences S.N.Khodyn<\/strong>, and the Director of the Belarusian Research Institute of Document Science and Archival Science A.E.Rybakov<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In his speech, O.L.Voinov focused on the development of the archival industry: new forms of using documents of the National Archival Fund<\/strong>, the open access system to NAF documents, events held for young people, as well as the need for a more active transition of archival institutions to the process of digital transformation, etc.<\/p>\n

At the end of the courses, the students were awarded certificates of advanced training of the established form.<\/p>\n
