On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the State Archives of the Brest Region<\/strong> organized a number of events as a tribute to the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland and the victims of the Great Patriotic War<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

05.05.2025 young archive workers (all of them are members of the BRSM NGO) laid flowers at the memorial sign to the victims of the genocide \u00abTree of Life\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

06.05.2025 the chairman of the primary trade union organization of the archive N.V.Yakuta and the archive employees<\/strong> visited the garrison cemetery of Brest, laid flowers at the mass graves of the Red Army soldiers and civilians<\/strong> who died during the Great Patriotic War, and honored their memory with a minute of silence.<\/p>\n

On the same day, the archive workers visited the grave of Gleb Mikhailovich Norov, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, who worked in the archive in 1964-1987 as a senior custodian of the funds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

05\/07\/2025, a ceremonial meeting of the staff<\/strong> was held in the archive, timed to coincide with Victory Day. The director of the archive A.G.Karapuzova<\/strong> addressed the workers with a congratulatory speech. As part of the event, a presentation \u00abArchivists-winners\u00bb<\/strong> was presented about the archive workers in different years – participants in the Great Patriotic War, and a documentary film \u00abHistory of the Great Victory\u00bb<\/strong> prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong> was shown.<\/p>\n

05\/07\/2025, the director of the archive A.G.Karapuzova and young archive workers took part in the opening of the exhibition \u00abWe stood firm and won\u00bb<\/strong>, prepared by the UK \u00abBrest Regional Museum of Local History\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On Victory Day, the archive staff took part in a ceremonial procession to the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex, in a rally dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, and laid flowers at the Eternal Flame<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
