On May 6-7, 2025, the International scientific and practical conference \u00abGreat Victory in the name of peace and creation (on the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War)\u00bb<\/strong> was held at the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The organizing committee included the director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as the Department) O.L.Voinov<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the opening ceremony, the following addressed the Forum participants with welcoming speeches: Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus V.G.Gusakov, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus I.P.Sergeenko, Veniamin \u2014 Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus A.I.Ivanets, Deputy Head of the Investigative Group of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus for the Criminal Case on the Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War S.P.Shikunets, Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus V.L.Lakiza<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Director of the Department O.L.Voinov, Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB) A.K.Demyanuk and Director of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents (hereinafter referred to as BGAKFFD) A.N.Gonchar<\/strong> took part in the conference as honorary guests.<\/p>\n

The participants of the event were shown the banner exhibition \u00abThe Partisan Republic\u00bb<\/strong>, which was presented by the Deputy Head of the Publications Department of the NARB O.L.Krukovskaya<\/strong>, and a documentary film \u00abThe History of the Great Victory\u00bb<\/strong> prepared by the archivists of the BGAKFFD was shown. On May 7, work continued at the sectional meetings.<\/p>\n

One of the moderators of the section \u00abCrimes without a statute of limitations. Nazi genocide on the territory of Belarus. Historical and legal assessments and approaches\u00bb was the Deputy Director of the NARB, PhD in History S.V.Kulinok<\/strong>. He also made a report on the topic \u00abDocuments of the Extraordinary State Commission as a historical source: on the issue of objectivity and reliability (on the example of the BSSR)\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
