Flowers were laid at the foot of the memorial by <strong>Governor Alexei Kushnarenko<\/strong>, <strong>Deputy Minister of Defense Alexander Naumenko<\/strong>, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants and guests of the celebration. The memory of those killed during the Great Patriotic War was honored with a minute of silence.<\/p>\n<p>The areas near <strong>the Mound of Glory<\/strong> hosted exhibitions of the districts of the Minsk Region, an open-air museum, exhibitions of weapons and military equipment, a field kitchen, a tasting of bread made according to military recipes and much more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The State Archives of the Minsk Region<\/strong> presented the participants and guests of the festival with exhibitions of archival documents: <strong>\u00abMinsk Region \u2013 the Heart of Great Belarus\u00bb<\/strong> reflects the history of the central region since its formation, <strong>\u00abGenocide of the Civilian Population in the Minsk Region During the Great Patriotic War\u00bb<\/strong> recalls the terrible tragedy that befell the residents during the Nazi occupation.
