Such events help strengthen patriotism and respect for the history of their country.<\/p>\n<p>On May 9, archivists in Polotsk took part in the procession \u00abBelarus Remembers!\u00bb on the Mound of Immortality, joining hundreds of citizens to honor the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.<\/p>\n<p>The procession \u00abBelarus Remembers!\u00bb became a symbol of the unity of generations, a connecting thread between the past and the present. Participants, young and old, walked shoulder to shoulder, carrying flowers and flags, portraits of their loved ones, those who gave their lives for a peaceful sky above their heads. Songs of the war years were heard, bringing tears to the eyes of veterans and their descendants.<\/p>\n<p>The Mound of Immortality, towering over the city, became a place where the memory of the heroes comes to life again and again.
