{"id":1019685,"date":"2025-05-07T15:40:23","date_gmt":"2025-05-07T12:40:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/?p=1019685"},"modified":"2025-05-07T15:40:36","modified_gmt":"2025-05-07T12:40:36","slug":"the-state-archive-of-public-associations-of-the-gomel-region-held-a-memorial-day-dedicated-to-the-80th-anniversary-of-the-victory-in-the-great-patriotic-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/news\/1019685","title":{"rendered":"The State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region held a Memorial Day dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On May 7, 2025, <strong>the State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region<\/strong> held a Memorial Day dedicated to the heroism of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Victory.<\/p>\n<p>A screening of <strong>the documentary film \u00abThe History of the Great Victory\u00bb<\/strong> was organized for students of <strong>the educational institution \u00abGomel State College of Culinary Arts\u00bb<\/strong>, prepared for the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War by <strong>the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong> with the support of <strong>the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, students were introduced to archival documents testifying to the damage caused by the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War, memories of veterans of the Great Patriotic War who participated in the defense of Gomel, as well as personal files of members of the Gomel People&#8217;s Militia Regiment and Heroes of the Soviet Union.<\/p>\n<p>The event ended with a visit to the exhibition of archival documents \u00abAnd tomorrow was Victory ..\u00bb., dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and a sightseeing tour of the archive.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\"  width=\"100%\" cellpadding=\"5\" cellspacing=\"0\" class=\"gen_table\">\n<tr align='center'>\n<td align='center'><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1-86.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" id=\"media-1070281\" class=\"wp-image-1070281 alignnone size-full\" width=\"80%\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align='center'>1-4.
