On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory, on May 6, 2025, the quiz \u00abGlory – not to fade. Traditions – to live\u00bb<\/strong> was held among employees of republican archival institutions<\/strong>. The idea of holding an intellectual game dedicated to the theme of the Great Patriotic War was enshrined in the decision of the board of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>. The organizer of the quiz was the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Before the start of the competition, the participants of the event were invited to the concert \u00abSo that generations remember …\u00bb<\/strong>, prepared by the creative teams of the State Educational Institution \u00abSecondary School No.27 of Minsk\u00bb<\/strong>. Piercingly and honestly, young artists spoke and sang about war, about peace, about fragile human happiness!<\/p>\n

Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov<\/strong> and Director of the State Educational Institution \u00abSecondary School No.27 of Minsk\u00bb M.B.Mikhailichenko<\/strong> addressed the participants of the event with welcoming words. In their speeches, the leaders spoke about the importance of preserving the documentary heritage and historical truth about the Great Patriotic War, about patriotic education and love for the Motherland, about the development of cooperation between archivists and educational institutions.<\/p>\n

Six teams competed in the quiz:<\/p>\n

\u00abUnconquered\u00bb<\/strong> – National Archives of the Republic of Belarus;<\/p>\n

\u00abTorch of Victory\u00bb<\/strong> – National Historical Archives of Belarus;<\/p>\n

\u00abChildren of Archival Footage\u00bb<\/strong> – Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents;<\/p>\n

\u00abNEED! Science.Archives.Documents.Fatherland\u00bb<\/strong> – Belarusian Research Institute of Document Science and Archival Affairs;<\/p>\n

\u00abDigitalizer\u00bb<\/strong> – Belarusian Center for Digitalization of Archival Activities;<\/p>\n

The United Team<\/strong> \u2013 the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation, the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art, and the Central Laboratory for Preservation of Documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that all teams demonstrated deep knowledge of the history of the Great Patriotic War. However, the prizes were distributed as follows:<\/p>\n

3rd place \u2013 the United Team;<\/strong><\/p>\n

2nd place \u2013 the \u00abDigitalizer\u00bb team;<\/strong><\/p>\n

1st place \u2013 the \u00abChildren of Archival Personnel\u00bb team<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to the winners!<\/strong> We hope that the intellectual quiz will become a new good tradition of the archival service.<\/p>\n
