On April 30, 2025, employees of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as NARB) took part in the International Round Table \u00abBelarus and North-West Russia: a common path to the Great Victory (to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War)\u00bb. The organizers of the scientific forum were the Higher School of Social Sciences of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution<\/strong> of Higher Education \u00abPeter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University\u00bb<\/strong>, Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk<\/strong> and NARB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The round table included reports on various aspects of the Great Patriotic War: military operations at the fronts, occupation and extermination policies of the Nazis and their accomplices, and the preservation of historical memory.<\/p>\n

Deputy Director of the NARB, PhD in History S.V.Kulinok<\/strong> covered the topic of \u00abThe transfer of German agents trained in Belarus to the Soviet rear and units of the Red Army during the Great Patriotic War\u00bb in his report. Head of the NARB Publications Department U.A.Kolobaeva<\/strong> presented a report \u00abOn the role of the BSHPD in organizing the cultural and educational activities of the partisans of Belarus\u00bb. Leading researcher of the NARB Publications Department, PhD in History V.D.Selemenev<\/strong> presented a report \u00abThe destruction of Belarusian villages by the Nazis\u00bb. Leading archivist<\/strong> of the same department A.S.Ivanenko<\/strong> presented a report on the topic \u00abAir defense units of the Red Army in the fight against the UPA and the Home Army: characteristics of sources\u00bb. In addition to the archive staff, the following spoke at the event on the Belarusian side: Vice-Rector for ideological and educational work of the Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk, PhD in History, Associate Professor A.I.Korsak<\/strong> (report \u00abMemorial laws\u00bb of Belarus and Russia: on the issue of preserving the memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War\u00bb); leading researcher of the Center for Military History of Belarus of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, PhD in History, Associate Professor A.A.Krivorot<\/strong> (report \u00abOn the issue of the activities of the Ozarichi camps on the territory of Belarus\u00bb); senior researcher of the Center for Military History of Belarus of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus V.N.Nadtachaev<\/strong> (report \u00abNatives of the North-Western District in the ranks of the partisan SMERSH\u00bb); Senior Researcher, Center for Military History of Belarus, Institute of History, National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Leading Archivist, Department of Documents and Information Use, NARB, PhD, Associate Professor V.P.Garmatny<\/strong> (report \u00abReconnaissance Activities of the Partisan Brigade named after Ya.M.Sverdlov in the Territory of the Drogichin District\u00bb).<\/p>\n
