On April 24, 2025, the Central Laboratory for the Preservation of Documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> held a Single Information Day<\/strong> on the theme \u00abThe Feat of the People to Live for Centuries\u00bb<\/strong>, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.<\/p>\n

Paying tribute to the heroism of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, the event united the employees of the institution to honor the memory of the heroes who defended the freedom of the Motherland and emphasize the importance of preserving the historical truth in the face of modern challenges.<\/p>\n

Opening the meeting, the director of the Central Laboratory V.L.Klyuiko<\/strong> noted the inextricable link between archival documents and the memory of the war. \u00abEach document from the war years that we have restored is not just paper, but living evidence of the tragedy and the unbending will of our people. We are obliged to protect this evidence from attempts at falsification so that future generations know the truth about the price of Victory\u00bb, he emphasized.<\/p>\n

Deputy Director S.I.Mezga<\/strong> in his speech focused on the role of archivists in patriotic education: \u00abToday, when countries unfriendly to us are trying to rewrite history, our task is to preserve authentic evidence of the feat and this is our contribution to the struggle for historical justice\u00bb.<\/p>\n

The culmination of the event was the viewing of the documentary film \u00abHistory of the Great Victory\u00bb<\/strong>, created by BGAKFFD<\/strong> with the support of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>. The film, based on unique archival materials, recreated the key stages of the war on the territory of Belarus: the heroic defense of the Brest Fortress, the large-scale operation \u00abBagration\u00bb, the partisan \u00abrail war\u00bb and the legendary Victory Parade of 1945 in Moscow.<\/p>\n

The series of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be continued – the participation of representatives of the Central Laboratory in the thematic quiz \u00abGlory – not to fade. Traditions Live!\u00bb, in a screening of the film dilogy \u00abDeath Camps\u00bb and \u00abBurnt Villages\u00bb, in holding Memory Lessons and showing the documentary film \u00abHistory of the Great Victory\u00bb in sponsored educational institutions, as well as participation in the event of laying flowers at the monument to the Unknown Soldier at the Military Cemetery of Minsk.<\/p>\n
