On the eve of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the International Children’s Center \u00abArtek\u00bb<\/strong>, the institution \u00abBelarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents\u00bb<\/strong> took part in events within the framework of the Day of United Actions<\/strong> in Memory of the Genocide of the Soviet People by the Nazis and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 at the International Children’s Center \u00abArtek\u00bb. The BGAKFFD was represented by the deputy director of the archive E.M.Grinevich<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On April 19, 1943, the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR No.39 \u00abOn measures of punishment for German-fascist villains guilty of murder and torture of the Soviet civilian population and captured Red Army soldiers, for spies, traitors to the homeland from among Soviet citizens and for their accomplices\u00bb was issued, establishing liability for those convicted of committing murders and torture of the civilian population and captured Red Army soldiers, and laid the legal basis for conducting trials of the occupiers and their accomplices, which began in the USSR in 1943. On April 19, 2025, the Day of United Actions in Memory of the Genocide of the Soviet People by the Nazis and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 was held in Artek, which was initiated by the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin. The event has been held since 2018 with the support of the Federal project \u00abWITHOUT Statute of Limitations\u00bb. The goal of the project is to preserve the historical truth about the crimes of the Nazis and their accomplices against Soviet civilians during the Great Patriotic War. Based on the totality of the collected evidence, war crimes against citizens of the USSR were recognized as genocide by the decision of the courts of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. In this regard, the children of the Artek camp were shown the documentary film \u00abThe People’s Trial\u00bb of 1946 about the Minsk trial of 1946, against the commandant of Mogilev General O. von Erdmannsdorff, the organizer of the concentration camp near the village of Ozarichi I. Richert and others. Films created within the framework of the Open Film Archive project based on the archive’s stock documents – \u00abLiberation\u00bb, \u00abHistory of the Great Victory\u00bb were shown in the children’s camps \u00abMorskoy\u00bb, \u00abRechnoy\u00bb, \u00abYantarny\u00bb, \u00abKhrustalny\u00bb, \u00abPolevoy\u00bb, \u00abOzerny\u00bb and \u00abLazurny\u00bb.<\/p>\n

E.M.Grinevich took part in the Media Intensive \u00abWITHOUT Statute of Limitations: Unconquered\u00bb as part of the jury<\/strong>. 11 works (study papers and backstage) prepared within the framework of the project \u00abWITHOUT Statute of Limitations: Unconquered\u00bb were submitted to the competition. The project \u00abWITHOUT Statute of Limitations: Unconquered\u00bb is implemented by the MOO DMO \u00abBoomerang\u00bb with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund. The project partners are the National Center for Historical Memory under the President of the Russian Federation, the State Film Fund of Russia, the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, and the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Crimea \u00abCrimean Film and Media Center\u00bb. During the meeting with the children of the Artek camp, Elena Mironovna spoke about the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, its history, main areas of activity, and major projects. In conclusion, the Artek children were presented with illustrated photo albums dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the archive’s foundation.<\/p>\n
