{"id":1019104,"date":"2025-04-18T12:53:47","date_gmt":"2025-04-18T09:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/?p=1019104"},"modified":"2025-04-18T12:53:47","modified_gmt":"2025-04-18T09:53:47","slug":"on-the-thematic-lesson-memory-and-pain-of-the-belarusian-land-with-the-participation-of-the-institution-zonal-state-archive-in-novogrudok","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/news\/1019104","title":{"rendered":"On the thematic lesson \u00abMemory and pain of the Belarusian land\u00bb with the participation of the institution \u00abZonal State Archive in Novogrudok\u00bb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On April 17, 2025, on the eve of the Great Victory Day, as part of the <strong>\u00abArchives for School\u00bb<\/strong> campaign, a thematic lesson <strong>\u00abMemory and pain of the Belarusian land\u00bb<\/strong> was held for 9th-grade students of <strong>Secondary School No.3 in Novogrudok named after V.G.Gakhovich<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Schoolchildren spoke about the burned villages of Novogrudok region, the genocide of civilians, irreparable human losses, the heroism and feat of the Belarusian people, historical truth and memory in their reports and poems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Head of the Department for the Preservation, Registration and Use of Documents N.A.Pisaruk<\/strong> noted that more than half of the population of Novogrudok at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War were Jews, so the topic of the Holocaust is especially relevant for the Novogrudok land. The schoolchildren learned about the history of the Jewish community, learned about the situation of the Jews during the war &#8211; from the first days of the occupation, the Nazis began to pursue a brutal policy of exterminating the civilian population. As a result of four mass shootings, the large Jewish community of Novogrudok ceased to exist.
