April 17, 2025 The State Archives of the Gomel Region<\/strong> organized a banner exhibition \u00abUnconquered Gomel Region\u00bb<\/strong> in the foyer of the Mir cinema<\/strong>, where documentaries dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory were shown.<\/p>\n

This is a photo-documentary project that includes the banners \u00abGomel Region on the Eve of War\u00bb, \u00abGomel Region in Flames\u00bb, \u00abNazi Genocide Policy\u00bb, \u00abOzarichi Death Camp\u00bb, \u00abDulag-121\u00bb, \u00abSign of Trouble \u00abOst\u00bb, \u00abTest of War\u00bb, \u00abPartisan Gomel Region\u00bb, \u00abLiberation of the Gomel Region\u00bb, \u00abNobody is Forgotten, Nothing is Forgotten\u00bb. The visitors of the exhibition got acquainted with photo documents that tell about the pre-war level of development of the national economy, cultural institutions, public education, recreation parks, etc. of the Gomel region.<\/p>\n

The greatest impression on the students was made by the documentary information from the period of occupation of Gomel by the Nazi invaders. The Nazi policy of genocide, death camps, mass deportation of civilians to Germany, devastation and famine – this is the policy of the German authorities, the so-called \u00abGerman order\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Photo documents on banners dedicated to the liberation of the Gomel region by the Red Army troops and the perpetuation of the memory of the dead show at what high price the long-awaited Victory was achieved.<\/p>\n

Archival documents and memorial sites remain the only witnesses of the unforgettable war years in the history of the Gomel region.<\/p>\n
