On April 15, 2025, a conference \u00abPreservation of historical memory and truth about the Great Patriotic War, the genocide of the Belarusian people and the problem of rehabilitation of Nazism in the modern world<\/strong>\u00bb was held at the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V.I.Lenin<\/strong>, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.<\/p>\n

The conference was prepared by the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Public Organization \u00abBelarusian Union of Veterans of the War in Afghanistan\u00bb<\/strong>, the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V.I.Lenin, the Vitebsk Regional Organizational Structure of the Republican Public Organization \u00abBelarusian Society \u00abKnowledge\u00bb\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There were 156 people in the hall.<\/p>\n

The conference featured a report entitled \u00abThe Open Film Archive Project. We Brought This Day Closer as Much as We Could<\/strong>\u00bb in the Activities of the Republic’s State Archives in 2024-2025 with a screening of the film \u00abThe History of the Great Victory<\/strong>\u00bb prepared by BGAKFFD. The report was presented by Tatyana Buevich, Deputy Director of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Open Film Archive project has become an innovative project in the archival industry of Belarus. It is carried out under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and the Department of Archives and Records Management<\/strong>. As part of this project, the BGAKFFD<\/strong> \u00abchannel<\/strong>\u00bb<\/a> was created on the YouTube social network. The channel regularly features unique archival chronicles on the history of Belarus.<\/p>\n

During the conference, the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region conducted an advertising campaign about the BGAKFFD YouTube channel. Leaflets with links to the resources of BGAKFFD and its YouTube channel were distributed among the conference participants.<\/p>\n

The organizers of the conference expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, the Department of Archives and Records Management and BGAKFFD for the opportunity to see the archival chronicle.<\/p>\n
