{"id":1018955,"date":"2025-04-14T13:39:55","date_gmt":"2025-04-14T10:39:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/?p=1018955"},"modified":"2025-04-14T13:45:55","modified_gmt":"2025-04-14T10:45:55","slug":"conducting-lessons-for-students-of-the-state-educational-institution-secondary-school-no-42-of-grodno-as-part-of-the-archives-to-school-campaign-at-the-state-archives-of-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/news\/1018955","title":{"rendered":"Conducting lessons for students of the State Educational Institution \u00abSecondary School No.42 of Grodno\u00bb as part of the \u00abArchives to School\u00bb campaign at the \u00abState Archives of the Grodno Region\u00bb institution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On April 11, 2025, as part of <strong>the \u00abArchives to School\u00bb<\/strong> campaign, <strong>the \u00abState Archives of the Grodno Region\u00bb<\/strong> institution conducted 2 lessons on the topics <strong>\u00abState Archives of the Grodno Region: History and Modernity\u00bb<\/strong> and <strong>\u00abGenocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War\u00bb<\/strong> for 9th-grade students of <strong>the State Educational Institution \u00abSecondary School No.42 of Grodno\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The archive staff told the schoolchildren about the history of the archive, the main areas of its activities, as well as the importance of the archivist profession. The most interesting and valuable documents stored in the archive were presented to the students.<\/p>\n<p>The children were also shown documentary materials illustrating the criminal activities of the occupation authorities: cards of prisoners of war who were in German camps, and certificates of ghetto prisoners. During the lessons, the children familiarized themselves with the exhibitions of documents exhibited in the reading room.<\/p>\n<p>In the laboratory for restoration, binding and repair of documents, the students observed the process of restoring paper information carriers.
