This date was established in honor of the events of 1945, when Allied troops liberated prisoners of <strong>Buchenwald<\/strong> and other death camps. During the Great Patriotic War, there were more than 580 places of forced detention in Belarus, including the infamous <strong>Trostenets, Ozarichi and Koldychevo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On this day, we honor the memory of the dead and express deep respect to those who survived, demonstrating incredible fortitude. Their stories are a reminder of how important it is to preserve peace and prevent such tragedies from happening again. The memory of the victims of concentration camps must live in the hearts of future generations so that something like this never happens again.
