The director of the archive said that every year on April 2 in Belarus and Russia at the state level <strong>the Day of Unity of the Peoples of the two countries<\/strong> is celebrated. She recalled that on April 2, 1996 <strong>the Treaty on the Establishment of the Community of Belarus and Russia<\/strong> was signed. This treaty became the starting point when two independent countries, in order to unite their material and intellectual potential, decided to create a politically and economically integrated community. And on April 2, 1997 in Moscow the Presidents of Belarus and Russia signed the Treaty on the Union of Belarus and Russia. Since then, this date has been celebrated as the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia.
