On March 13, 2025, a scientific and practical seminar \u00abTheoretical and Methodological Foundations for Conducting Educational Events for Schoolchildren and Students in the State Archives of the Republic of Belarus\u00bb<\/strong> was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as NARB). The event was organized by the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, the History Department of the Belarusian State University, and NARB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Oleg Leonidovich Voinov, Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>, addressed the participants of the seminar with a welcoming speech. In his speech, he focused on strengthening the methodological and theoretical-pedagogical base for the direct implementation of the \u00abArchives to School\u00bb campaign. O.L.Voinov noted the variability and diversity of events held for schoolchildren by archives.<\/p>\n

Head of the Department of Source Studies of the Faculty of History of BSU, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Sergei Nikolaevich Khodin<\/strong> emphasized the importance of interaction between archives and educational institutions, and also noted the close interaction of the Faculty of History of BSU with the archival institutions of the republic.<\/p>\n

Associate Professor of the Department of Source Studies of BSU, PhD in History Olga Sergeevna Ivanova<\/strong> gave a lecture on the topic \u00abMethodology for conducting educational events using archival documents\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Deputy Director of NARB, PhD in History Svyatoslav Valentinovich Kulinok<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Documents and Information Use of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents Oksana Mikhailovna Dzhenzhera and Director of the Zonal State Archive in Molodechno Inna Zenonovna Pudakevich<\/strong> shared their experience in implementing the \u00abArchives for School\u00bb campaign in their reports.<\/p>\n

Professor of the Academy of Education of the Republic of Belarus, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences Vitaly Grigorievich Stukanov<\/strong> made a presentation on the topic \u00abMilitary-patriotic education in educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus\u00bb.<\/p>\n

The seminar was also attended by heads of republican archival institutions, school teachers and university students. Regional and zonal archives of the Republic of Belarus participated in the seminar online.<\/p>\n

Discussion of the theoretical and methodological foundations of conducting educational events for schoolchildren and students in the state archives of Belarus will help to develop valuable proposals for the introduction of the latest pedagogical methods in the educational process, as well as to increase the effectiveness of interaction between archives and educational institutions of the country.<\/p>\n
