On March 3, 2025, the State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region<\/strong> held an Open Day<\/strong> dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the archive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In connection with this event, the state archive hospitably opened its doors to everyone.<\/p>\n

The visitors to the archive were students of the state educational institution \u00abSecondary School No.3 of Gomel named after D.N.Penyazkov\u00bb<\/strong> and students of the educational institution \u00abGomel State Machine-Building College\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the visit to the reading room of the archive, the children were shown an exhibition of archival documents and photographs \u00abHeroes of the Great Victory\u00bb<\/strong>, and the archive staff told the children about the rules and procedures for users in the reading room.<\/p>\n

As part of this event, excursions were held around the archive, during which the children learned about the main areas of the archive’s work, the composition and number of stored documents, and were able to get acquainted with the most interesting of them.<\/p>\n

The format of the event was chosen so that students would have the opportunity not only to learn the history of the archive and see the variety of stored documents, but also to learn how to work with documents and how to use the experience of archivists in everyday life. At the end of the event, the archivists prepared many pleasant and interesting surprises for the guests. Among them was the donation of a copy of the personal file of Dmitry Nikandrovich Penyazkov<\/strong> to the school museum of Gomel Secondary School No.3 named after D.N.Penyazkov.<\/p>\n
