On March 3, 2025, on the eve of the spring holiday – Women’s Day<\/strong> – an exhibition entitled \u00abFemale Silhouette against the Background of History\u00bb<\/strong> was opened at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is a joint project involving the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter – NARB), the National Historical Archives of Belarus, the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation and the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the history of our state, women have never played a secondary role. They managed, contributed to scientific and spiritual life. Women changed history… During the Great Patriotic War, they worked in the rear, providing for the front, defended the Motherland on an equal basis with men, and then restored and developed the national economy, prepared the future generation.<\/p>\n

NARB presented archival documents at the exhibition: the plan and program for celebrating March 8 in 1925; slogans for the celebration of March 8; personal files of women – Heroes of the Soviet Union; combat leaflets and handwritten journals of partisan formations, which on March 8 were colorfully designed and entirely dedicated to women; orders on awarding and encouraging distinguished female partisans.<\/p>\n

In the modern Republic of Belarus, the Public Association \u00abBelarusian Union of Women\u00bb<\/strong> was created on December 14, 1991. \u00abA woman should be a preacher of peacefulness, kindness, sincerity, honesty and decency, as it is in our country\u00bb, noted the Chairman of the Council of the Republic Natalia Kochanova<\/strong>. The names of outstanding representatives of the beautiful half of humanity are entered in the history of our country in golden letters. But a woman has always been and remains the most beautiful, the most caring, the most desirable and the most beloved.<\/p>\n
