On the eve of the anniversary date of the archive’s foundation, as well as within the framework of the \u00abArchives to School\u00bb<\/strong> campaign, on February 6, 2025, the State Archives of the Brest Region<\/strong> were visited by 10th-grade students of the State Educational Institution \u00abGymnasium No.5 of Brest\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Head of the Department of Use and Publication of Documents Galina Kalustova<\/strong> told the children about the creation of the State Archives of the Brest Region 85 years ago, on February 11, 1940<\/strong>. The students learned what documents the archive contains, including those testifying to the difficult years of the occupation of Brest.<\/p>\n

At the end of the lecture, the students were shown the film \u00abOn the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Brest from the Nazi Invaders\u00bb<\/strong> prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After the lecture, the students visited the archive storage facility and the laboratory for repair and restoration of archival documents.<\/p>\n
