On February 6 and 7, 2025, an educational and methodological meeting and conference of employees of the enforcement agencies of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> took place at the National Center for Legal Information<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As part of this event, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as NARB) prepared a documentary exhibition \u00abFormation and development of the profession of a bailiff in the Belarusian lands\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The status of bailiffs in Soviet Belarus was established in 1923 with the entry into force of the Civil Procedure Code and the Criminal Procedure Code of the RSFSR on the territory of the BSSR. In addition to these regulatory legal acts, a series of circulars and instructions were issued regulating general and specific issues of enforcement of court decisions.<\/p>\n

The exhibition presents archival documents: a list of special collectors’ cash desks throughout the territory of the Byelorussian SSR; a nominal list of people’s judges, authorized representatives of the Supreme Court and bailiffs; reports on the work of bailiffs; questionnaires of bailiffs; minutes of the meetings of the Republican Commission for summing up the results of the reviews and competitions for the best office and the best bailiff and other documents.<\/p>\n

Head of the Department for the Use of Documents and Information of the NARB M.A.Starostenko<\/strong> introduced the participants and guests of the event to the exhibition.<\/p>\n
